Registering a product with Magellan is easy.

  • Where to find serial numbers on Magellan Products
    On handheld GPS units, there are two serial numbers. One for the "case" or the unit itself, and another "software" number generated by the firmware on the unit.

Product What the "Case" Serial Number looks like: Internal Electronic Serial number looks like:
Magellan RoadMate Series 12 characters long (both numbers and letters)

Meridian Series CH followed by 6 numbers OR just 6 numbers (older units)

This number can be found within the GPS product on the "About" page within the "Menu". It is the number following the "sn:".
