Magellan Roadmate 700 North America Firmware Upgrade

WARNING:

If your unit contains firmware version 3.32 or higher, do not perform this update. Firmware version 3.32 is intended for a Magellan RoadMate 700 with a firmware version lower or prior to 3.32. Loading firmware version 3.32 to a RoadMate 700 with firmware version 3.32 or higher will render the unit inoperable.

Please check the current firmware version before downloading and installing firmware update 3.32. The GPS unit's current firmware version can be viewed by pressing the Option button, select Configuration, scroll down and select Diagnostics, scroll down and select Product Information. On the Product Information page the third line displays the S/W version. This is the current firmware version installed and running on the RoadMate 700 series.

POI Icons on the Map
  • User can Select desired POI' s from OPTION -> CONFIGURATION-> POI Selection to display on the map. Selected POI's will be displayed on the MAP
Previous City List
  • Once the route is calculated the selected City name will be saved.
  • If user wants to go to the same city user can select from Previous City List. Previous City List as maximum of 10Cities. If list exceed 10. Last in the list will be replaced.
Split True View
  • Split True View can be selected from OPTION->-> CONFIGURATION ->MAP OPTION.
  • If user selects Split Truview, instead of complete TrueView now user can able to see both MAP and TrueView on the same screen.
New Locate Screen
  • Speed meter and Software Compass Meter are added. Now User can also see the speed and direction of travel along with the current location information.
Sorting Address Book
  • All the Address book entries will be now sorted in alphabetical order.
Language Selection
  • Language could be switched by selecting OPTION->-> CONFIGURATION-> LANGUAGE. Voice files for desirable language has to be copied to SOUND_EU directory on a hard drive (example file names: GER_F.SND, GER_M.SND).
Vehicle Positioning Recording and Replaying
  • This selection was moved from hidden menu to OPTION->-> CONFIGURATION->RECORD VP SETTINGS and made available for users.
POI Selection Menu
  • POI selection menu was moved to the top of the selection list in OPTION->-> CONFIGURATION menu.
POI on the Map Screen
  • POIs on the map screen made touchable and routable. Route can be generated if POI is selected on the map screen by using touch screen.
Map Panning
  • Map panning was improved.
