MAC OS SD Card Update Instructions For Compatible RoadMate Devices
Note: Make sure your unit is fully charged or the update will not run.
You will need the following before you begin the update:
1. A 2GB – 8GB Micro SD Card
2. A MAC computer with an SD card reader/writer
*If you cannot obtain a Micro SD Card you can contact Magellan Tech Support at 800-707-9971.

Step1 |
Download the MAC OS SD Card zip file from www.magellangps.com website. |

Step2 |
Unzip the folder to your desktop |
|
|
Step3 |
Open the folder to reveal its contents |
|
|
Step4 |
Insert the SD card into your computer’s card reader |
|
|
Step5 |

Format the SD Card |
|
|
Step6 |
|
Open the SD Card as a folder |
|
|
Step7 |
|
Copy all of the contents from the download file and paste it into the SD Card folder |
|

Step8 |
|
Eject the SD Card |
|
|
Step9 |
|
Power down your unit and insert the SD card. |
|

Step10 |

Power the unit on. You will see the following screen. 
|

Tap Ok on the screen to have the unit begin the update process. |

Restart your unit when you see the following screen. Hold the slider to the left up to 10 seconds until the screen turns off. (Do not take out the SD card yet)

Your unit will go through the boot process. Tap the OK button on the screen to proceed with the final stage of the software upgrade. (See image below)

When you see the image below remove the SD card. You unit will restart and you will be able to connect to your MAC computer for all future software updates 
|

Step15 |
|
Download and install Content Manager on your MAC computer and connect your unit via USB to verify that your unit has the most up to date software/map upgrades available. |
