Magellan Launches Magellan Professional Brand of Innovative Survey and GIS Solutions at Intergeo 2006
Munich - Intergeo Booth #C2 2028 (October 10, 2006) Magellan (formerly Thales Navigation) today launched Magellan Professional, the new brand under which it will market its survey and GIS business. The Company was established as an independent company following the August 2006 acquisition by private equity firm Shah Capital Partners. The Magellan Professional family brand is designed to leverage the 85% aided brand awareness that Magellan commands worldwide among survey and GIS customers, partners, and target audiences, while clearly conveying the Company's commitment to providing professional solutions designed for professionals.

Discover Magellan Magellan Professional kicks off at Intergeo 2006 with a re-branded booth presence and Discover Magellan show promotion in which Magellan Professional booth visitors can win Magellan products and prizes. An integrated Discover Magellan advertising campaign rolls out this month, highlighting the company's pioneer name sake --Ferdinand Magellan - and inviting customers to Discover Magellan, the company they know, now with a brand new name.
The company also launched its Magellan Professional website today which can be easily accessed from www.pro.magellanGPS.com. The new site features a fresh, clean design in keeping with the change of brand, and a streamlined navigation scheme including universal tab navigation for quick access to the product information you need and a dealer locator.
