Supply Chain Analyst

Magellan is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing the effectiveness of existing procurement processes as it relates to the supply chain activity, ensuring manufacturer, Supplier performance and Magellan objectives are aligned. This position will be a member of the Supply Chain team and report to the Manager, Supply Chain Logistics.

The Supply Chain Analyst responsibilities include:

  • Analyze the effectiveness of existing procurement processes as it relates to supply chain activity, ensuring manufacturer, supplier performance and Magellan objectives are aligned.
  • Analyze and recommend strategies focused on demand planning, vendor negotiations, sales forecast planning, factory scheduling and vendor/supplier coordination.
  • Recommend and contribute to improved strategies in order to improve productivity and efficiency with minimal cost.
  • Participate in Supply and Demand Chain projects across the organization
  • Forecast sales as it relates to factory to warehouse logistics.
  • Communicate with factory to ensure adequate supply, lead time and transit time

Required Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (in order of importance):

  • Understanding Supply Chain flow process from product forecast, procurement, factory manufacturing , warehouse  inventory control, pick, pack and ship, logistics, freight carriers in IT industry
  • Knowledge of logistics planning and scheduling
  • Experience with vendor and price negotiation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, mathematical, and problem solving skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook to generate reports and analyze data

Required Education and Training (in order of importance):

  • B.S. or above with minimum 5 years of supply chain, order management experience

Desired Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (in order of importance):

  • Local and overseas supplier or customer communication experience
  • Detail-oriented and multi-tasking
  • Concept of cost structure
  • Bilingual, Chinese speaking is a plus
