Sales management of select national and regional retail accounts to sell, market, promote, and forecast, Magellan branded products and services in the eCommerce / .Com channel for profitable growth and business expansion.
Position reports to the Senior Sales Director, National Accounts.
Required Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
5 to 10 years of retail sales experience in the US, preferably with eCommerce / .Com channel
Experience in multi level selling with senior management focus
Experience in hiring, managing and firing sales representatives to support business goals
A proven, successful sales record working for a branded manufacturer
Comprehensive management skills, supporting not only product sales but credit, operations, forecasting and overall account management
Possess the ability to work with marketing, product management, operations and finance to ensure all the accounts are well managed and are completely supported
Possess the ability to have the foresight to anticipate problems, and to manage through the numerous challenges of a competitive product category and turbulent economic environment.
Ability to manage conflict and to overcome objections.
Capacity to operate at the highest level of ethical, legal business practices and to follow the company’s code of conduct.
History of successful retail sales of nationally branded products and comes well recommended by current and past customers.
Ability to work with teams to get to resolution of issues and opportunities.
Possess highly developed organization skills as well as the ability to multi task numerous issues at the same time.
Driven by a strong commitment to meet and exceed goals, deadlines, and commitments.
Possess strong presentation, written and non combative negotiation skills.
Possess strong analytical skills in the areas of forecasting product sales, trends and requirements.
Ability to drive business as a self starter and a self sufficient contributor; as well as a team player, with the right balance of drive and aggressiveness at the same time treating team members and other employees with respect and support.
Must be a mature business professional that does not require continual oversight and day to day management.
Strong, outgoing, personality with highly developed interpersonal skills to deal with the numerous personality types found within the customer base.
Posses strong analytical skills resulting in an ability to uncover the problem and find the solution
Candidate must be willing to travel weekly to support his accounts and reps and to ensure we are well connected with all of the key retail decision makers.
Required Education and Training:
Must have experience in the eCommerce / .Com channel
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, an advanced degree is preferred
Must have a high level of basic business computer knowledge, i.e., Word, Outlook, Power Point and Excel.
