Manage full life cycle engineering GPS and other mobile consumer electronics projects in a fast pace global environment.
Establish schedule and drive a world wide technical team and global design centers towards successful completion of projects.
Resolve program execution issues.
Launch products with world wide coordination of cross functional team.
Increase development efficiency and to drive products to market faster.
Required Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering project management
Experience in managing fast pace technology projects and leading a worldwide multidisciplinary product development team including Asia in a matrix environment
Manages the project scheduling, financials, and technical performance of multiple projects
Responsibilities include coordinating preparations of plans, specifications, and financial parameters of a program with significant impact to company's performance
Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget
Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with minimal supervision
Performs a variety of complex tasks
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal and people management skills including ability to interact with all levels of management and functional organizations
Experienced in MS project or equivalent and MS Office Suite of tools
Some travel may be required
Required Education and Training:
Must have experience in Consumer electronics and GPS experience
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Technical, an advanced degree is preferred
PMP certification is considered a definite plus but not required
